"Together We Own It"

That slogan is proudly displayed at the entrances to all Fleetwood facilities along with the signatures of all of our team members. Why? In 1975 Fleetwood became one of the first firms in the U.S. to form an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). In 1998, Fleetwood Group became 100% employee owned. Each team member has a long-term interest in both the quality of our products AND the strength of our relationship with our customers.

In 2006 Fleetwood Group was selected as the top-rated employee owned company by the ESOP Association for our commitment to excellence quality, cost, delivery, and service.

Norwood Hubbell

A Rich History and Mission...

Fleetwood Group is located in Holland, Michigan and was founded in 1955 by Norwood Hubbell, who had a vision to lead a mission-minded, Christ-centered company that would provide funding for missionaries struggling to get the financial assistance they needed.

More than fifty years later, Fleetwood remains convinced that we are called to take a Christ-centered approach to business.

What does it mean to be a "Christ-centered" business?

We believe there are three key elements:

  1. An Eternal Purpose: More than for profit, more than moral and ethical business practices. The company's reason for being is to glorify God and build his kingdom. "So whether you...do, do it all for the glory of God." - 1 Corinthians 10:31.
  2. WWJD (What Would Jesus Do) Consciousness: Using Jesus' model and Scripture to guide our corporate behavior and action. Great Commandments - Love God, Love your neighbor.
  3. Ambassadors for Christ: Viewing all corporate relationships—customer, team-members, suppliers, our community, causes as an opportunity to be a Christian influence. "We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us." - Corinthians 5:20

As a company striving to be "Christ-Centered", our highest goal at Fleetwood must be to do all three of these things well. We have much to be proud of, yet we are far from perfect. Achieving this goal is our ongoing challenge.

Our purpose is to support Christian causes that are faithfully presenting the truth of God's Word and effectively reaching the lost for Christ. In addition to financial support, personal encouragement is provided through a Prayer Partnership program that links missionaries to employees. Since its founding, Fleetwood Group has generously supported mission partners around the world. Fleetwood gives back fully one third of annual profits in support of missions, relief, and other Christian causes. Fleetwood gifted over $1 million last year.

Fleetwood Group also encourages active involvement by all team member-owners in missions by sponsoring short-term mission trips and local projects with organizations like Habitat for Humanity and Kid's Hope USA.
